Eligibility Criteria

For admission in undergraduate course, the minimum requirement is students must have passed 10+2 in relevant subject with a minimum percentage as per the norms of University. Students will also have to appear for an entrance test OJEE.

For admission in PG course, students must have bachelor’s degree in related subject and must have appeared for a Postgraduate Entrance Test (PGCET). Students can obtain more information on eligibility requirement from college office.

How to Apply

Students can apply for the courses offered by the college after meeting the eligibility criteria on a prescribed format. Students can obtain the application form and admission details from college office.

Facilities and Infrastructure

College has state of art infrastructure and facilities. It has well-established attached hospital to provide all the required medical and health aids to the patients. College statistical unit that is the research activity of students and staff consist of computers and calculators.

College has a central library of this institution. It is one of the best Medical Libraries in Orissa. Library is fully computerized and Air-Conditioned. This library has been recognized as Resource Library by Government of India in the Eastern Region.

Library has 3 reading rooms with seating capacity of 250 in total. There are 17954 books including text and reference books. There are 8218 back volumes of journals including journals of national and international level. College subscribed to over 44 national and 57 international journals.

College provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. There are 3 gent’s hostel, and 1 in extension block. There is separate hostel for PG students, house surgeons, women’s hostel, nursing students, and pharmacy students.

College provides sports and games facilities for students such as playgrounds for cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, lawn tennis, badminton, table tennis etc. College also provides excellent gymnasium facilities with Multi Gym.

College provides Tele-Medicine Service in collaboration with ISRO and Sanjay Gandhi Post-Graduate institute of Medical Science Lucknow to provide distant Medical Education to medical students, tele consultation, follow-up treatment facility and Tele medical video conference.

College has an attached hospital with 1229 beds. There are over 1733 OPD and 96325 annual admissions of indoor patients. There are 20 ICU provided with Ventilator, Pulse Oxymeter, ECG, 8 ICCU provided with Capnometer, Syinge Pump. There are Surgican Intensive Recovery Room of CTVS & Neurosurgery Care Area, Paediatrics Intensive/ NICU-1 Ventilator, Pulse Oxymeter Care Area, Labor Room etc.

Hospital OTs is equipped with Bowels apparatus, Monitoring Devices (including Anaesthesia equipment), Diathermy Ventilatory equipments, ABG system, Surgical Instruments. Hospital also provides advanced radiological facilities and well-equipped clinical laboratories.

Developmental activities such as put signs within the campus referring department name, facility available, Users fee , Hospital Map etc. has been implemented for easy way to walk in and out of hospital.

Hospital kitchen provides cooked food sanctioned by the Govt. to the T.B. patients at reasonable rates. There are laundry facility and central sterilization services in hospital. The Medical College & Hospital has a Regional Diagnostic Centre, efficient Hospital Waste Management system.

Students Life

College organizes various national programmes such as family Welfare Training in Regional Family Welfare Training Centre etc. College has a National Cadet (NCC) unit to provide defense training and certification to the students. College students are awarded with Gold Medals, Endowment Gold Medals and Prizes who have secured highest mark in the Examinations on convocation day of Utkal University.
