NMIMS in a nutshell

NMIMS was established in the year 1981.NMIMS provides Modern facilities to student such as ambience & support for curricula & extra curricula activities for the overall -development of students. Trimester system with proper planning to utilize the resources effectively and efficiently.

Regular visits of the renowned & proven academicians from well known Industries, Research Organizations, IIT’s and Top Ranking Educational Institutions. Visualizing the onset of globalization the institute went International and established linkages with a number of foreign universities like, ESSCA, Angers, France; ESSCA, Budapest, Hungary; EUROMED, Marseille, France; University Uttara Malaysia; Athens University, Greece; Stockholm University, Sweden and Middlesex University, UK.

Facilities and infrastructure

Hostel - Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls. The Shirpur Campus Hostel has been constructed to provide a safe and congenial atmosphere to the students. Airy rooms luxuriously furnished with attached bathroom, access to Computer lab, Cyber centre, Canteen, Library, Audio Visual Facility, Water coolers with purified drinking water, TV Room, indoor games room and Gymnasium and a senior faculty member as Warden-Friend-Guide-Philosopher are the exclusive features of the hostel.

Seminar-Hall -A seminar hall built to international standards is exclusively for intellectual activities like paper presentations, seminars, workshops, debates and inter-collegiate competitions.

Games-Sports- Facilities - The institute has provided facilities like Amphi Theater, Lawn Tennis Court, Golf Court,Gymnasium,Indoor / Outdoor Stadium  and Field Track Swimming Pool.

Computer Centre & Services - There are DELL Power-Edge servers and the branded Workstations along with the Laptops of DELL and the stand alone Pentium-IV PCs. There is a network-Intranet/Internet (designed by CISCO) consisting of the DELL Power-Edge servers, with switches and hubs to which P-IV PCs are connected as nodes.

Laboratory - The Laboratories has Pentium-IV Computers with TFT Monitors and with Wireless NICs in LAN, Printers, Scanners, DVD burners, Digital Cameras. These Laboratories provides various network based services such as Internet, Groupware, Database, Proxy, Email, Printing, and Laptops & LCD Projectors.

Placements and future prospects

The companies which recruited the students of NMIMS are Nomura, JPMC, Kelloggs, Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages, ITC, Godrej Consumer, L’oreal, Wipro Consumer, Essar, Saint Gobain, TATA Motors and Genpact.
