International Institute of Maritime Studies (IIMS) was born of a dream of visionaries in the maritime field. Its Directors are young entrepreneurs and social workers who are committed to strong values of old and the technological advances of the future and they are actively involved in various aspects of international shipping on a daily basis and are aware of the pressing need to educate and train Indians to meet the challenges of International shipping into the future.

IIMS also conduct revalidation of various courses under STCW’ 95.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible to the courses a candidate should be Indian, should have completed ( 10 + 2 ) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.
In order to be eligible to the courses a candidate should be Indian, should have completed B.E/ B.Tech (Mechanical / Naval Architecture) with minimum 50 % marks in aggregate of all semesters from an AICTE approved institution.
Admission Procedure
The application forms for the desired course will be issued in the college itself and the candidate can obtained it by paying DD of the specified amount and submitting all the documents required by the college.
Candidates can download the application form from the official website of the college.
Students wishing to enrol for any of the above courses are required at the time of admission to submit the following documents in original together with relevant photocopies.
Proof of Nationality (Passport or C.D.C. / Seaman identity document).
- Proof of Sea Service.
- Academic Qualification.
- Name of the Company.
- Three recent Passport size photographs.
Facilities and Infrastructure
The institute is in continuous process of augmenting its library with the latest maritime, technical books and other publications on all aspects of shipping. The Institute also subscribes to some of the important shipping magazines, both Indian as well as foreign. The institute also maintains an audio visual library that complements maritime education.
IIMS is committed to bringing modern technology into the classroom. Most of our courses will be entrusted to faculty members with a wealth of seagoing and teaching experience.
Almost all courses will be supported by Computer based programmes and Maritime Simulator systems with state of the art technology.
IIMS will utilize the full potential of the Audio-Visual medium, with topical Maritime video programmes.
