Global Institute of Management-GIM is affiliated to Punjab Technical University-PTU, Jalandhar.

Global Institute of Management-GIM and Global Institute of Management and Emerging Technologies-GIMET are the two new centers of higher education which have come up on the educational map of the State of Punjab. Being run under the aegis of Guru Har Rai Educational Society in Amritsar, Global Institutes have carved an enviable niche for themselves in a short span of just two years. The Management is a strong votary of TQM philosophy and all endeavours are being made to bring up these institutes to the level of national and international institutions of higher learning in the streams of engineering technology and management.

Global Institute of Management-GIM engages in teaching and research which advance knowledge in core management disciplines and generate inter-disciplinary collaboration within the institutes and across the university, with practical application for business, industry and polcy-makers. The Global Institute's vision is to achieve national and international recognition through the impact of its world class teaching and research. We have endeavored to create a collaborative and welcoming environment in which to learn and work. Our primary strength lies in our students, faculty and staff. Continuous improvement and innovation are our essential goals.

The primary goal of Global Institute of Management-GIM is to provide affordable professional education matching international standards and thereby meeting the aspirations of the young generation. The institutes have been set up with the following objectives: To provide value based professional education and to inculcate not only technical skills but right values and attitude too. To prepare the students for professional challenges both at national as well as at global level and also to prepare them for global placements. To promote and develop research in pure as well as applied domains of various subjects for the benefit of academia. To emerge as a center of excellence in technical and management education competing neck-to-neck with the similar institutions at national as well as global level. To promote entrepreneurship as envisioned by our former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. To engage the students in community development and also to motivate them to become responsible citizens.

Global Institute of Management-GIM provides two well equipped libraries in Global Institutes. Each library meets with all the conditions laid down by AICTE, New Delhi/Punjab Govt. PTU, Jalandhar. Both the libraries are well-ventilated, spacious, and well-stocked with more than 15,000 books of different streams of Management, Engineering & Technology. The books have been acquired from standardized publishers and are authored by persons of national and international repute. We are subscribing to 80 National and International journals and nearly 300 E-journals. We are also subscribing to 25 latest professional and technical magazines along with 6 National dailies. The internet facility is availabel to search online as well as to go through the online journals.

Global Institute of Management-GIM offers two years Master of Business Administration in various streams such as Finance, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, and Information Technology.

A Separate placement cell has been established in the college. A. MOU has been signed with Globarena Technology Private Limited, Yousuguda, Hyderabad for conducting Placement Training for the students of this college. It will be our endeavor to bring best companies to the college for on-campus placement.
